Amber Georgia, the international event dedicated exclusively to traditional, low-intervention wines from small Georgian cellars, is set to make its debut in Berlin after its first fair in New York last year.
Bringing the world’s oldest winemaking heritage straight to Europe’s natural wine capital, the event creates a dynamic bridge between Georgian winemakers, international wine professionals, and curious urban consumers.
Positioned under the core brand philosophy of "Discovery & Joy" Amber Georgia breaks away from stiff, traditional trade tastings. Instead, it offers an immersive, high-energy environment designed to spark curiosity, celebrate authentic craft, and build lasting community connections.
The upcoming Berlin edition features the largest concentration of Georgian micro-cellars ever assembled outside of Georgia. Attendees will have the rare opportunity to taste unique skin-contact wines made in traditional “Qvevri” (underground clay vessels), explore viticultural diversity, the event brings together around 40 autochthonous grape varieties originating from 6 distinct winegrowing regions and up to 30 unique micro-zones. Attendees will experience the authentic spectrum of local terroir, discovering rare native grapes and engage directly with passionate Georgian winemakers.
“Amber Georgia is built on curiosity and the joy of discovery,” say Zura Mgvdliashvili and Iago Bitarishvili, founders of Amber Georgia. “Georgian amber wine doesn’t look, taste, or feel like anything else in the world. Every vintage is naturally shaped by the climate and the soil, making every single tasting an unscripted, remarkable experience.”
The event will also feature Germany-based importers working with Georgian natural wines and bringing them to the wider European market.
