L’intento di BACCANAL X KARAKTERRE
è quello di superare la barriera tra settori "cercando di dare voce all'artigianalità come modus operandi appartenente a vari settori e discipline" e cercare un approccio orizzontale, contaminato e coinvolgente.
Il lavoro del vignaiolo, dell’artigiano "è simile a quello" dell’artista : non è la creazione di un prodotto da inserire in un mercato, ma un approccio sistemico che ambisce a Valorizzare al massimo l'autenticità e l'unicità del suo lavoro e del Territorio in cui nasce.
In questo secolo è ormai necessario un lavoro più attento e coscienzioso : il rispetto dell'ambiente, dei suoi tempi e della sua biodiversità, l'approccio alla natura senza pesticidi e chimica dannosa è un dovere. Questo modo che molti sbandierano ormai da pochi è veramente attuato. Questo Modo di diminuire il nostro impatto sull'ambiente dovrebbe essere condiviso in un’ottica di innovazione del settore Vino in primis, ma quindi Agricolo, Cibo e Prodotti, nonchè di conseguenza sul sociale e del rapporto con la comunità.
L'uomo è sempre stato artigiano e sempre lo sarà, da sempre adatta le sue tecniche al paesaggio che lo circonda : dopo più di un secolo di sfrenato sfruttamento e industrializzazione è ora di riappropriarsi di un equilibrio più attento a tutte le conseguenze che il Produrre genera.
“L’arrivo di Karakterre in Italia per me è come se fosse la chiusura di un cerchio. Karakterre ha preso il via nel 2011. Ero solo un appassionato di vino da circa 10 anni ed i vignaioli italiani erano coloro che maggiormente mi avevano ispirato. Ho sempre considerato il Friuli la mia seconda casa, l’ho visitata sin dall’inizio della mia carriera nel 2000, e da lì ho iniziato a esplorare gli altri territori. Le fiere italiane sono state formative per ciò che oggi è Karakterre. I vignaioli italiani erano gli unici a darmi consigli quando ho fatto nascere quest’evento. Ci sono, quindi, davvero tante connessioni, lavorative oltre che personali, tra me, Karakterre e l’Italia. Oggi rappresentiamo la regione del Centro ed Est Europa, Karakterre è una delle fiere del vino leader con edizioni in Austria ed a New York. E noi sentiamo che l’Italia è parte di questo spazio, geograficamente ma anche in termini d’ispirazione, idee, business ed ovviamente emozioni”. (Marko Kovac – Karakterre)
BACCANAL
è un festival di artigiani e artigiani del vino, nato da amicizie coltivate nel tempo. Baccanal vuole essere un festival in cui il rispetto per la biodiversità del territorio e la storia/esperienza del vignaiolo vengano raccontati come movimento contro-culturale. Il festival Baccanal lavora per riportare al centro del movimento vitivinicolo l'artigianalità, l'importanza di una nuova narrazione identitaria e di un approccio sostenibile alla terra e alla vita.
KARAKTERRE
è uno dei festival del vino più importanti al mondo, che presenta vini biologici, biodinamici e naturali provenienti dall'Europa centrale e orientale in un evento di due giorni. Si svolge ogni anno in luoghi storici dell'Austria (presso il castello Esterhazy a Eisenstadt, capitale della regione vinicola del Burgenland) e di New York (al Rockefeller Center, nel cuore di Manhattan). Con l'ecologia al centro, il festival Karakterre promuove le aziende vinicole impegnate nei valori della vita sostenibile.
The intent of BACCANAL X KARAKTERRE
is to overcome the barrier between sectors trying to give voice to craftsmanship as a modus operandi belonging to various sectors and disciplines and seek a horizontal, contaminated and engaging approach.
The work of the Vigneron, of the craftsman is similar to that of the artist : it is not the creation of a product to be included in a market, but a systemic approach that aspires to enhance the authenticity and uniqueness of his work and the territory in which it is born.
In this century a more careful and conscientious work is now necessary: respect for the environment, its times and its biodiversity, the approach to nature without pesticides and harmful chemistry is a duty. This way that many skid by a few is truly implemented. This way of decreasing our impact on the environment should be shared with a view to innovation in the wine sector in the first place, but therefore agricultural, food and products, as well as on the social and the relationship with the community.
The man has always been craftsman and he will always be, he has always adapted his techniques to the landscape that surrounds him: after more than a century of unbridled exploitation and industrialization it is time to regain a more attentive balance to all the consequences than producing generate.
“The arrival of Karakterre in Italy is like the closing of a circle for me. Karakterre started in 2011. I had only been a wine enthusiast for about 10 years and Italian winemakers were the ones who had inspired me the most. I have always considered Friuli my second home, I have been visiting it since the beginning of my career in 2000, and from there I started to explore other territories. The Italian fairs have been formative for what Karakterre is today. Italian winemakers were the only ones who gave me advice when I created this event. So there are really many connections, both professional and personal, between me, Karakterre and Italy. Today we represent the Central and Eastern European region, Karakterre is one of the leading wine fairs with editions in Austria and New York. And we feel that Italy is part of this space, geographically but also in terms of inspiration, ideas, business and obviously emotions”.
