Jul 2026Birba Bar was one of my favorite spots in Bologna. It reminded me of some of the best neighborhood wine bars I’ve been to in Paris, relaxed, welcoming, and focused on great food and wine. Francesco, one of the co-owners, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, introducing us to an excellent local producer we probably never would have discovered on our own. The food was delicious, the wine list was thoughtfully curated, and the whole place had a warm, easygoing atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back the next time I’m in Bologna.
