Sep 2026What a beautiful and wonderful wine bar we wandered into here. The food and wines are out of this world and the owners are so kind and helpful with tips for visiting Bologna and Italy. The owner took one look at us and poured exactly the kind of wine I most love - a savory, creamy sparkling rose. A must-stop on your trip to Bologna.
Jul 2026Birba Bar was one of my favorite spots in Bologna. It reminded me of some of the best neighborhood wine bars I’ve been to in Paris, relaxed, welcoming, and focused on great food and wine. Francesco, one of the co-owners, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, introducing us to an excellent local producer we probably never would have discovered on our own. The food was delicious, the wine list was thoughtfully curated, and the whole place had a warm, easygoing atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back the next time I’m in Bologna.
