Sunday, June 14 :

#1 - Kennedy Fish Market: The Mediterranean in a glass and on a plate:

Poissonnerie Kennedy
Poissonnerie Kennedy

There are certain events that perfectly encapsulate the Mediterranean way of life. This is one of them. On Sunday, June 14, the legendary Corniche Kennedy becomes the setting for a meeting between the sea and vibrant wine. Overlooking the blue Mediterranean, the Poissonnerie Kennedy hosts an exceptional pop-up event bringing together some of the most exciting winemakers from the VLVL fair for an open-air tasting centered on sharing, terroirs, and fine wines. On the program: fish caught that day, carefully selected seafood, large convivial tables, and vibrant wines served directly by the winemakers themselves. A rare opportunity to chat with the winemakers, discover their stories, their practices, and their vision of a free and committed approach to winemaking. In the kitchen, Chef Thomas Assioma will create a menu designed to complement the wines, while Diane Treutenaere and Camille Pichery will oversee the wine service throughout the day.

On Sunday, June 14, the Antiquaires District will come alive with the hustle and bustle of bargain hunters, strollers... and fans of natural wines. To celebrate Vivent les vins libres, the Suffren restaurant is opening its doors for a special pop-up event featuring seven of the most exciting winemakers on the new wine scene. This is a rare opportunity to discover their wines, chat with them, and taste authentic, vibrant wines deeply rooted in their terroirs. To celebrate the event, the kitchen will be open for lunch on this special day. This will allow you to extend your tasting experience with a delicious meal, all while enjoying the unique atmosphere of the Grand Brocante du Quartier des Antiquaires, which will bring the streets to life throughout the day. Between treasures unearthed at the antique dealers, a glass in hand, and encounters with the winemakers, this event promises to be one of those Marseille getaways you’ll remember for a long time. Paul and his entire team look forward to welcoming you to share this moment of conviviality, discovery, and culinary delights.

#3 - Rouge: Head to Pointe Rouge for a wine-themed lunch

Also on Sunday, June 14, from noon to 4 p.m., Vivent les vins libres will be making a stop at Rouge, one of the most charming spots in Marseille’s Pointe Rouge neighborhood. For the occasion, a fine selection of winemakers will be presenting their wines in a relaxed and friendly setting, true to the festival’s spirit. Here, there’s no formal protocol or rigid tasting protocol: you discover the wines through casual encounters, glass in hand, while enjoying the mild climate of the Marseille coastline. At the helm of Rouge are Arthur and Louise. After meeting in the kitchens of chef Alain Passard about ten years ago, they traveled the world before choosing Marseille to bring their project to life. Their philosophy is simple: championing authentic cuisine, carefully selected local ingredients, natural wines, and unpretentious hospitality. For this pop-up, Rouge will transform into a true hub of life. Spontaneous cooking, a short menu, counter service, dishes to share, and total freedom to shape your day as you please. Stay for a few minutes or several hours, chat with the winemakers, taste, come back, take your time. With the sea just a few steps away, free-flowing wine in your glass, and cuisine designed for immediate pleasure, all the ingredients are in place to experience one of the most delightful events of the weekend in Marseille.

#5 - Gallifet: a taste of vibrant wine in the heart of Aix-en-Provence

Gallifet - Aix-en-Provence
Gallifet - Aix-en-Provence

Why not take advantage of Vivent les vins libres to treat yourself to a getaway in Aix-en-Provence? On Sunday, June 14, one of the festival’s most enchanting pop-up events will take place in the exceptional setting of the Centre d’Art Gallifet, an 18th-century mansion where contemporary art, fine dining, and natural wines come together. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, under the chestnut trees in the garden, visitors can discover the wines of six guest winemakers, chat with them, and enjoy a moment of tranquility in one of the region’s most beautiful cultural venues. On the culinary front, chefs Lisa Desforges and Bruno Hammerle will present a deliberately concise menu, featuring ultra-local and seasonal ingredients. Fruits, vegetables, fish, and artisanal products sourced from regional producers will come together to create authentic cuisine, designed to pair perfectly with the wines. Whether you’re from Aix, Marseille, or simply passing through Provence, the detour is well worth the trip. And for those from Marseille, the excuse of distance doesn’t hold up: just a few minutes by train is all it takes to reach this oasis of freshness and culinary delight. On the agenda: fine wines, socially conscious cuisine, an exceptional setting, and that warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes Vivent les vins libres so magical.

Monday, June 15: The wine fair for industry professionals

Les Grandes Tables de la Friche
Les Grandes Tables de la Friche

Some wine fairs showcase wines. Others tell a story. Vivent les vins libres does both. For nearly twenty years, this must-attend event for natural wines has brought together much more than just bottles: it unites a community of men and women who share a common vision of wine, working the land, and passing on traditions. The story began in 2008 in Paris’s 19th arrondissement, centered around a few passionate winemakers, dedicated restaurateurs, and long discussions among friends. A first tasting organized on June 18 inspired a nod to General de Gaulle’s call to arms. The name was found: Vivent les vins libres.

Since then, the adventure has continued to grow. From Paris to Marseille, and even as far as Montreal, New York, Amsterdam, and Mexico City, the association has preserved what makes it unique: a deeply human approach to wine, where connections matter just as much as tastings. Because VLVL is, above all, a story of passing on knowledge. Each year, established winemakers rub shoulders with a new generation of talent. Young wineries find a space here to make themselves known, exchange ideas, and grow through contact with those who paved the way before them.

On Monday, June 15, the natural wine community invites you to Marseille for a new edition dedicated to discovery, camaraderie, and sharing. Throughout the day, visitors will have the chance to meet dozens of winemakers from all over France and beyond, taste their wines, and speak directly with the people who craft them. A rare opportunity to understand the journeys, philosophies, and terroirs behind each bottle. It is undoubtedly one of the best opportunities to discover the incredible diversity of natural wine in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
