Mag 2022Corrado is the essence of a gentile Italian that enjoys life and food and wine at its center. His cooking stems from a long tradition of home-style comfort food - and if you close your eyes you can imagine not to sit in a Mercato but in the kitchen of an Italian home that is full of life and joy. Corrado was very happy to tell me about their wines and when I mentioned I had not managed to get a reservation for dinner the same day he went out of his way to call the sommelier of the restaurant and arrange for us to get a table. (When I called they didn’t even pick up.) He’s really made my day and I hope to see him again and taste his delicious foods and wines in the future. If you’re in the neighbourhood; don’t miss the chance to stop by, even if just to pick up some of the many cheeses they also offer.
