Il Koshu è il più celebre vitigno autoctono giapponese, la cui storia racconta di lunghi viaggi e incontri tra culture. Si ritiene che sia giunto in Giappone circa mille anni fa dal Caucaso, seguendo il percorso della Via della Seta. Nel calice si presenta con un giallo paglierino chiaro. Al naso emergono profumi delicati di mela, pera e zest di limone, accompagnati da una spiccata mineralità e da lievi sfumature burrose. Al sorso rivela una struttura morbida e avvolgente, arricchita da sottili note speziate e di legno. Il finale, sapido e persistente, lo rende un abbinamento ideale con le ostriche.
