Le uve di questo Nebbiolo, come per il Barbaresco, provengono esclusivamente dal cru Ca' Grossa, un magnifico vigneto di circa 30 anni situato a sud-est nel Comune di Barbaresco, nella località Tre Stelle. La selezione dei grappoli avviene direttamente in vigna, seguita da una fermentazione alcolica con lieviti indigeni che dura circa 10 giorni in contenitori di acciaio. Dopo la fermentazione malolattica, il vino viene imbottigliato in primavera.
