1950 è il Merlot in purezza di Davide Vignato, prodotto a Gambellara, in Veneto. Il nome richiama l'anno d'impianto del vigneto di Merlot in località Ronchi, coltivato su terreni alluvionali derivati da rocce vulcaniche. Le uve sono raccolte manualmente e vinificate con circa 15 giorni di contatto con le bucce e follature. Il vino matura poi sulle proprie fecce in acciaio per circa sette mesi. Il produttore lo certifica biologico. Nel calice è rosso rubino con riflessi violacei, con profumi di prugna, ciliegia, piccoli frutti rossi, violetta e sfumature erbacee. Il sorso è secco, strutturato e fresco, con una piacevole componente minerale e un carattere deciso ma scorrevole. È un Merlot particolarmente adatto a salumi, paste al ragù, arrosti, grigliate e carni rosse.
