New natural wine venues are joining the Raisin map this August 🍷
From Saint-Malo to Sète, from Palermo to Padova, and on to Almaty, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, San Sebastián, Antwerp, Darwin and New York, this month's selection brings together restaurants, wine bars, wine shops, cafés and other places putting natural wine at the heart of what they do.
From intimate neighbourhood spots and rural wine addresses to lively bars, contemporary restaurants and specialist bottle shops, there's plenty to discover — and plenty of new places to add to your list.

INTERNATIONAL
Piola Restaurant — Vic, Spain

In the heart of Vic, Piola brings together food, wine and a relaxed neighbourhood atmosphere. Its kitchen takes inspiration from Mediterranean and Argentine cooking, while the wine list is particularly focused on natural, organic and minimum-intervention bottles, with the restaurant stating that more than 90% of its selection falls into these categories. Estômago — Porto, Portugal

A small, intimate restaurant in Porto's Ribeira, Estômago is the project of chef Pedro Barreiros and Joana Carapeto. The kitchen works with contemporary Portuguese cooking and seasonal produce, while natural wine plays a central role in the experience, with a constantly evolving selection of Portuguese and international bottles. With just a handful of tables and counter seats, it's an especially personal place to eat, drink and discover.
Grapes Wine Bar — Almaty, Kazakhstan

Grapes is a wine bar and wine shop bringing natural wine to Almaty, with a selection that mixes local discoveries with bottles from further afield. The food follows a seasonal, local and organic-minded approach, making it a place to settle in for a glass, a bottle and something good to eat. The atmosphere is relaxed and contemporary, with wine at the centre of the experience.
Pénar — Ixelles, Belgium

Pénar combines a restaurant with a dedicated cellar of natural and biodynamic wines in Ixelles. The kitchen moves between familiar traditions and more precise, contemporary bistronomy, with an emphasis on good produce and the people who make it. Its cellar holds more than 380 bottles, making Pénar a particularly compelling stop for anyone interested in both food and natural wine.
Menut Cafè — Palma de Mallorca, Spain

Menut is a relaxed café and bar in Palma where coffee, food and natural wine come together throughout the day. Alongside its café offering, the spot has a selection of natural wines, including bottles from producers working with local Mallorcan varieties. An easygoing place to stop for a coffee, something to eat or a glass of wine.
Tipsy Wine Concept Store — Regensburg, Germany

Tipsy is a wine shop and bar in the centre of Regensburg built around natural wine and a relaxed, informal approach to drinking. The space works both as a place to discover bottles and somewhere to stay for a drink, with tastings and events adding to its programme. A natural-wine address with a distinctly social feel.
Geyik Bar — Beyoğlu, Istanbul, Turkey

Geyik is a neighbourhood bar in Beyoğlu with a carefully selected natural-wine offering alongside its established bar culture. The selection includes Turkish producers as well as international bottles, making it an unpretentious place to discover natural wine while experiencing one of Istanbul's long-running independent bars.
Ruby — Antwerp, Belgium

Ruby is a cosy neighbourhood bar in Antwerp where low-intervention wines sit alongside speciality beers and homemade cocktails. The food is deliberately simple, with carefully selected cheeses, charcuterie and changing weekly dishes designed to accompany the bottles. Pelusa Bar en Restaurant — Amsterdam, Netherlands

Set beside the water in Amsterdam-Noord, Pelusa is a wine bar and restaurant built around natural wine, wild fermentation and robust cooking. The kitchen focuses on local, sustainable ingredients, while the waterside terrace makes it equally suited to a full dinner or a more casual bottle and snack. A relaxed destination with a strong sense of place, just outside central Amsterdam.
Høtoft — Copenhagen, Denmark

Høtoft is a Copenhagen natural-wine importer and shop specialising in bottles from Central and Eastern Europe. Since 2017, the team has worked with producers from regions including Georgia, Hungary, Slovenia, Austria and beyond, with a particular focus on natural, organic and biodynamic wines. With shops in Nordvest and Vesterbro, Høtoft also hosts tastings and events for anyone wanting to explore these lesser-known wine regions.
Babylon Bar — Darwin, Australia

Hidden away in Darwin's Air Raid Arcade, Babylon is a small bar known for natural wine, music and a distinctly offbeat atmosphere. In late 2025, the venue passed to winemaker Tom Morrison and Ilona Rowe, who have kept its quirky character while bringing wines from Morrison's own Wilkie Wines alongside other local drinks. It's the kind of place that feels closer to a Melbourne laneway bar than a traditional Darwin pub.
Amfora Wines — New York City, USA

Amfora Wines is a natural and low-intervention wine shop in Astoria, Queens, focused on bottles that showcase the diversity of the wine world beyond the usual classics. Its selection ranges from producers in the Levant, Latin America and Eastern Europe to natural wines from closer to home, alongside sake and cider. A new addition to Astoria's growing wine scene with a distinctly global perspective.
Gagootz — San Sebastián, Spain

Gagootz brings sourdough pizza and natural wine to San Sebastián's Gros district, just steps from Zurriola Beach. The pizza is made with sourdough, while the drinks list focuses on natural wines and small producers, alongside local Basqueland beer and soft-serve to finish. The project also has a connection to Paris's Oobatz, with Dan Pearson involved in the concept.
FRANCE
Tandem — Saint-Malo, France

Tandem is a small neighbourhood bistro and wine bar in Saint-Servan, run by Baptiste Veissier-Turpin and Émeline Landais. The kitchen focuses on local, seasonal produce, while the wine list brings together artisan growers working organically, biodynamically and with natural winemaking. The menu changes regularly with the seasons and arrivals, making Tandem a relaxed place to eat, drink and discover carefully chosen bottles.
Cave de Huningue — Huningue, France

La Cave de Huningue is a wine shop created by Esther and Marc Carrette, the people previously behind the wine bar and tea room La Huninguoise. The shop offers a broad selection of wines and spirits alongside beers, non-alcoholic drinks and fine groceries, with regular opportunities to meet winemakers from Alsace and elsewhere. A useful address for discovering bottles and local producers in Huningue.
Chiwawa — Rennes, France

Chiwawa is a small bar in Rennes with a selection of natural wines and a relaxed, convivial atmosphere. The venue is listed by Raisin among Rennes' natural-wine addresses, alongside its offering of seasonal and locally minded food. A simple neighbourhood spot for a glass and a taste of the city's lively natural-wine scene.
Pimpant — Sète, France

Pimpant is a lively restaurant, wine bar and cultural space in central Sète built around chef residencies, natural wine, music and art. The kitchen changes with each visiting chef, with residencies lasting from two to eight weeks, while the wine list reflects the team's long-standing passion for living wines and their relationships with winemakers. The result is a constantly changing place where food, wine and creativity meet.
Repères — Magné, France

At the entrance to the Marais Poitevin, Repères is a gastronomic restaurant overlooking the Sèvre river. Chef Alexis creates inventive dishes that combine tradition with modern influences, while Margot looks after the dining room and an imaginative drinks offering. Les Ostals — Béziers, France

Set in two historic buildings in central Béziers, Les Ostals is a café-bistro built around generous, home-style cooking and a convivial atmosphere. The name comes from the Occitan word for “houses”, reflecting the character of the two medieval buildings that make up the space. Alongside its food and drinks, the venue hosts exhibitions, jazz evenings, theatre and DJ nights throughout the year.
Aronde — Les Matelles, France

Aronde is the first restaurant from Lorraine-born couple Julien Vahl and Lucie Péneau, who settled in the village of Les Matelles in the Pic Saint-Loup area. Housed in a former wine cellar, the restaurant combines a rustic setting with contemporary cooking, using products from the surrounding region and the nearby Mediterranean coast. Julien leads the savoury kitchen while Lucie, trained as a pastry chef, looks after desserts and the dining room.
Le Bistrot de la Bulle — Charentilly, France

Le Bistrot de la Bulle is a warm and informal restaurant in the Touraine countryside, with a large terrace, fireplace and a strong emphasis on homemade cooking. Le Grenier à Vins is a specialist wine shop in Avignon, operating from the Agroparc area of the city. The business specialises in the retail and storage of wines and spirits, offering a selection for customers looking to discover and take bottles home rather than functioning primarily as a restaurant.
Chez Chloé — Meylan, France

Chez Chloé is an independent fine-food shop and wine cellar in Meylan run by chef Chloé Laguilhomie. After working for 15 years in the kitchens of Les Terrasses d'Uriage and Maison Aribert, Chloé created a place centred on carefully selected local, organic and artisanal products, alongside homemade dishes to take away. The shop also carries wines from producers including Domaine des Rutissons, Thomas Finot and Mas du Bruchet.
Château de Sibra — Lagarde, France

Château de Sibra is a historic estate in Lagarde, in the Ariège, surrounded by a large landscaped park in the Pyrénées Cathares. The château was restored after being acquired by architect Sybille Thomke in 2017 and now operates as a guesthouse with five rooms. It has also become part of the natural-wine circuit, with bottles from natural winemakers appearing at the estate, making it an interesting destination for wine lovers looking to stay in the region.

Contatto — Arona, Italy

Just a few steps from the lakeside in the historic centre of Arona, Contatto is a contemporary restaurant led by chef Biagio Costigliola. The kitchen offers two tasting menus alongside à la carte dishes, with a focus on refined Italian cooking and seasonal ingredients.
