Did you know that Natural Wine has even made it’s way to Vietnam?
On March 8, 2022, as Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, emerged from a stringent COVID-19 lockdown, NOB Natural Wine Corner opened its doors, making history as the country's first natural wine bar. Founded by Vi, affectionately known as "Kú," (which means Owl in Vietnamese) and supported by friends and family. NOB is more than just a wine bar; it's a testament to passion and dedication.
Vi, who also serves as the sommelier, curates a wine list that features predominantly natural wines, each carefully selected for quality. NOB pairs these exceptional wines with homemade vegetarian dishes, mixed with the culinary flavours of Vietnam.
NOB Natural Wine Corner is not just a bar; it's a warm, welcoming haven. The ambiance is cozy and friendly, making guests feel right at home. The dedicated and experienced staff ensure that every visit is a memorable one, providing personalized service and wine knowledge to enhance the experience.
NOB also has a special connection with Mas Zenitude, a natural wine producer in Southern France. Vi, the founder, lived and worked at Mas Zenitude for several months in 2019 and 2020, gaining a deep understanding of their winemaking process. NOB hopes that customers will fall in love with these wines, just as they have.
While natural wine might not yet be a household name in Vietnam, NOB is actively contributing to its rise. The bar's commitment to serving these unique and eco-conscious wines is spreading awareness and sparking interest. As more suppliers import natural wine brands into Vietnam, the market is becoming increasingly vibrant.
