Can Le Petit Bouclard sell more than 172 bottles of natural Beaujolais Nouveau in a day?
Le Petit Bouclard, is a charming bistro nestled in Lyon, France, that opened its doors in May 2017. Since then, it has become a beloved neighborhood spot, open seven days a week, offering a unique blend of local and often organic products.
During lunch, Le Petit Bouclard transforms into a restaurant, serving market cuisine crafted from fresh, local produce. The daily menu includes a meat dish and a vegetarian or vegan option, showcasing their commitment to diversity and quality.
The team at Le Petit Bouclard is a tight-knit group, led by Kevin, the manager, together with Audrey, the skilled head chef, Yann, the creative cook, Corentin, the wine specialist and room manager, plus Jeremy, Mateo, and Jordan, all contributing to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. In winter, they hold the fort alone, while in summer, seasonal workers join to support the bustling atmosphere.
Le Petit Bouclard actively works to revamping the image of the Beaujolais Nouveau festival. Their festivities include a fanfare, Lyon-style meat and veal dishes, and, of course, the star of the show—natural Beaujolais Nouveau. With the goal of surpassing their previous record of 172 bottles sold. We’ll see this Thursday if they make it!
Le Petit Bouclard continues to be a beacon of warmth and discovery for its growing clientele in Lyon's burgeoning natural wine scene. Often referred to as the second living room for regulars, the bistro is dedicated to offering simple, quality products that resonate with their values.
