La Peccadille opened in March 2023 in Berlin's Friedrichshain neighborhood, after nearly two years of preparation, planning, and renovation. The restaurant is the result of a partnership between Jesus Olmedo, a Spanish chef with 17 years of experience in various kitchens across Europe, and Florian Fernandez, from France, who recently transitioned to hospitality and now manages the front-of-house. Together, they are dedicated to providing their guests with a one-of-a-kind dining experience.
What sets La Peccadille apart is the blend of French bistro and Spanish tapas cultures, offering uncomplicated food to share in a casual atmosphere. Almost everything on the menu is handmade, and to keep things exciting, they introduce new specials every week, unique tapas or small plates. On top of the food, La Peccadille serves a selection of natural wine, with over 50 different options on the menu.
Berlin boasts a thriving natural wine scene, with many bars and restaurants offering a variety of natural and biodynamic wines from around the world. However, the district of Friedrichshain has been somewhat hesitant to embrace it. La Peccadille aims to contribute to the evolution of the natural wine scene in this district by offering a carefully curated selection of natural and biodynamic wines. Jesus and Florian want to showcase the values of the natural wine movement as well as the unique and delicious flavors these wines possess.
Make sure to swing by and try their wine and food!
