Babalù Agricultural Company SS - Luca Toneatti & Giorgia Maranzan

We are Luca and Giorgia, a couple from Vicenza with a great passion for the world of wine and food and wine tourism.

This passion of ours, after several years of travel and study, created the foundation for our project.

And so, in 2024, Babalù was born: from our deep love for Sicily, for its ancient tradition and for the pristine nature that can still be found here today.

The company is located on approximately 1 hectare of vineyard on the border between Partinico and Balestrate, at an altitude of approximately 100 m above sea level, in a hilly area influenced by sea breezes and characterized by Mediterranean scrub.

We grow native varieties: Catarratto, Carricante, Grillo and Nerello Mascalese.

Our approach is completely natural: we do not use synthetic chemicals in the vineyard and we work following the rhythms of nature, with minimal intervention.

The harvest is manual, with the grapes selected directly in the vineyard.

In the cellar we adopt a non-interventionist philosophy:

• spontaneous fermentations with indigenous yeasts
• no forced temperature control
• no clarification or filtration
• no wine additives
  
  

Our wines are alive, constantly evolving, and aim to authentically express the territory from which they originate.

Not just wine: the world of Babalù

Babalù isn't just wine. We also produce extra virgin olive oil , following the same natural cultivation philosophy we adopt for wine: exclusively hand-picked, cold-pressed, and with the utmost respect for the environment and the raw material.

Furthermore, since 2025 we have opened a holiday home, Casa Babalù , where we welcome all those who wish to experience the wonders of Sicily in an authentic setting, far from the chaos and mass tourism.
