Ismael Gozalo is the fifth generation winemaker in the family and comes from the small town of Nieva, after which this five-pot was named. He is focused on working with the autochthonous verdejo variety, which in his hands shows its full potential through the application of various vinification techniques. He also takes care of old vineyards at 800-900 meters above sea level and works with ungrafted vines, which is a rarity today. Correcaminos is aged for several months on its own lees in stainless steel, which gives it a yeasty note and a creamy structure. It is fresh, with a nice body and mild fullness. On the palate, it delivers flavors of lemon, apple and some tropical notes.
