All the grapes come from vines grown without weed killers or synthetic products, which requires a lot of work on my part as well as on the winegrowers who supply me with the grapes! The harvest that arrives in the winery is the result of many efforts. Its natural balance allows me to work in the cellar with great serenity and a lot of confidence. All the wines are vinified and aged without any oenological product (nor sulphite) with very little intervention. We are not looking to make great wines but real, honest wines with the best possible drinkability index. Wine is a drink of conviviality, of friendship, of celebration! I grew up in the south of Burgundy. In love with Auvergne where I was born, I spent all my family holidays behind cows or on tractors. At the end of college only one possible job: PEASANT! But peasant agriculture is difficult. Living in the heart of the Mâconnais, it is quite naturally that I turn to viticulture. At the age of 16, first internship, first vinif: J'adore! Harvesting, fermentation, wine, I have just discovered an exciting environment. After a few internships and jobs in different areas of the Mâconnais and Beaujolais, I continued my training in 2000 in a large Beaune trading house. I spent two years there and then tried to return to a small family estate, in organic farming. I arrive for the 2002 harvest in Saint-Aubin at Dominique DERAIN. I rediscover the peasant spirit of my origins. Passionate, hard-working people who love and know their job. The complicity is immediate, I came to discover organic farming, I am also discovering biodynamics and natural wines....! I am involved in all positions: vineyard, cellar, trade... Accompanying and sharing is enriching but there comes a time when you want to do it for yourself and at your own pace. In 2007 Dominique encouraged me to buy my first pinot noir grapes. This is the start of SEXTANT. Without any equipment, I use Dominique's infrastructure to make my first cuvée. Little by little I equipped myself and in 2010 acquired my first plot. In 2013 I found a winery and cellars in Saint Aubin as well as two new plots in the commune of Pommard. In 2015, a plantation of half a hectare was carried out...

Tous les raisins sont issus de vignes cultivées sans désherbant ni produit de synthèse, ce qui demande un gros travail de ma part ainsi que des vignerons qui me fournissent les raisins! La vendange qui arrive en cuverie est le résultat de nombreux efforts. Son équilibre naturel me permet de travailler en cave avec une grande sérénité et beaucoup de confiance. Tous les vins sont vinifiés et élevé sans aucun produit œnologique (ni sulfite) avec très peu d'intervention. On ne cherche pas à faire des grand vins mais des vins vrais, honnêtes avec le meilleur indice de buvabilité possible. Le vin est une boisson de convivialité, d'amitié, de fête!

J'ai grandi dans le sud de la bourgogne. Amoureux de l'Auvergne ou je suis né, j'ai passé toutes mes vacances en famille derrière les vaches ou sur les tracteurs.

A la fin du collège un seul métier possible: PAYSAN! Mais l'agriculture paysanne est difficile.

Habitant au cœur du Mâconnais, c'est tout naturellement que je m'oriente vers la viticulture.
A l'âge de 16 ans, premier stage, première vinif: J'adore!
Les vendanges, la fermentation, le vin, je viens de découvrir un milieu passionnant.

Après quelques stages et embauches dans différents domaines du Mâconnais et du Beaujolais, je poursuis ma formation en 2000 dans une grande maison du négoce beaunois. J'y passe deux ans puis cherche à retourner dans un petit Domaine familial, en agriculture biologique.

J'arrive pour les vendanges 2002 à Saint-Aubin chez Dominique DERAIN. Je retrouve l'esprit paysan de mes origines. Des gens passionnés, travailleurs qui aiment et connaissent leur métier. La complicité est immédiate, je suis venu pour découvrir l'agriculture biologique, je découvre également la biodynamie et les vins natures....! Je suis impliqué sur tous les postes: vigne, cave, commerce...

Accompagner et partager c'est enrichissent mais il arrive un moment ou l'on veut faire pour soi et à son rythme.

En 2007 Dominique me pousse à acheter mes premiers raisins de pinot noir.
C'est le début de SEXTANT. Sans aucun matériel, j'utilise les infrastructures de Dominique pour réaliser ma première cuvée.

Petit a petit je m'équipe et en 2010 acquisition de ma première parcelle. En 2013 je trouve une cuverie et des caves à Saint Aubin ainsi que deux nouvelles parcelles sur la commune de Pommard. En 2015, une plantation d'un demi hectare est réalisée...
