I found this restaurant through Raisin, an app I normally trust completely, so this experience was especially disappointing. The location is beautiful and the wine list looks promising, but the food was mostly average, often uninspired and not particularly well balanced. A few dishes were enjoyable, but overall it did not reflect the quality, creativity or level of care I normally associate with places listed on Raisin. The biggest problem, however, was the service. It felt unmotivated and inattentive throughout the evening. There was no real wine guidance, questions about the wines could not be answered, we were brought the wrong bottle, glasses were not refilled, and nobody asked whether we were enjoying the food. When we politely mentioned that one dish had not been good, the reaction was defensive and unfriendly rather than interested or professional. Afterwards, we were largely ignored and left without drinks for a long time. The overall impression was of a place that may once have been exciting and full of passion, but today seems to be running without much energy or genuine care for its guests. Sadly, this was one of the most disappointing experiences I have ever had at a restaurant listed on Raisin.
