Pure juice, a bit of rusticity, nice vegetative notes, a delicious expression of Cab Franc!!
Patience à l'ouverture. une belle fraîcheur (faisant même penser à une carbo) bien structurée.
Funk. Leather. Tobacco. Complex acidity. Phenolic and spicy. Medicinal / bandaid. Tickle of bottle fermentation / carbonation.
Il goûtait pas super bien. Pas mal de volatile, des tannins qui manquent de souplesse. Un jour sans, sans doute ...
Du pur jus, avec de jolies tanins déjà (mais peu s’attendre encore). Un vin sur les fruits rouges, avec une certaine densité.
Il faudrait remettre Olivier Cousin à Martigné Briand et non à Angers! Merci
Trials night. With some amazing ribs and friends for dinner, three bottles were selected. The night’s wine award (by acclamation) went to Pur Breton 2016. I’m second came Le Mazel and dar behind Vignereuse. Regarding Pur Breton, some notes: Simply fantastic. Amazing first contact with this earthy wine. Clear sulfur traces reminds the Frank Cornelissen Etna wines! This was a 2016 vintage. Great structure, solid minerals presence and hints of pepper and blackberry. Still with some years ahead to its perfect momentum. What a great wine!

So deliciously dark. Like sinking your teeth into a juicy dark plum, then taking a bite of a ripe cherry and chasing that with a perfect strawberry. 🍒🍓
Definitively funky, with dark red notes that gently dilute with time, I like to leave it on the fridge and take my time with it. It changes beautifully
