Rouge Fruit 2014 (Petit Gimios) Grenache, Carignan, Alicante, Aramon, Oeillade, Terret Noir, Terret Blanc & Muscat 🍇 ▫️ It's all in the name: a clean explosion of a lot of red fruit! Sour cherries, young strawberries and red currant come forward when drinking. While in the nose it is currently a bit more vegatal in the direction of fermented cabbage, which goes well with some raw earthy characteristics it also has. Remotely spices have a play, but this 2014 seems to have developed itself more on the fruity side. After having some decent time to breathe it seems to evoke some fresh herbal hints too. ▫️ Wonderful, surprising, light and energetic, biodynamic "spring wine" which is beautiful cloudy and unfiltered. A field blend from a wild and vibrant vineyard with 16 different grape variaties. Perfect wine by itself, no pairing needed. ▫️ Sweetness: dry. Acidity: medium+. Tannin: low. Body: light. Finish: short. ▫️ Rating: 😣 [* * * * * * * ⭐ * *] 😁 ▫️ ➡️ More wines on my Instagram: @marcel.de.cocq
