Natural Winemaker Jérôme Bretaudeau named Winemaker of the year!
Every year, La Revue du vin de France (RVF) names its Vigneron de l’Année (winemaker of the year), celebrating a winemaker who has made a lasting impact on the industry. For 2025, that honor goes to Jérôme Bretaudeau, the Loire Valley talent behind some of the most exciting Muscadet wines. We offer our humble congratulations to Jérôme on such a great achievement!
Bretaudeau joins other natural winemakers who have earned this recognition. In recent years, RVF has highlighted others working with organic and biodynamic principles, like Jean-François Ganevat (2018) Dominique Hauvette (2020), Sylvain Fadat (2021), and Jean-Marc Grussaute (2023). Making it five natural winemakers in the last ten years!
RVF, founded in 1927, has long been an influential voice in the wine world. Seeing Bretaudeau take the top spot in 2025 underscores the incredible talent that natural winemakers are bringing to both their techniques and the wines they produce.
It sends a clear message: wines made with care for the land, with little to no additives, are considered among the best. And for those who believe in honest, terroir-driven winemaking, that’s something worth raising a glass to. Cheers!
