About
Spätburgunder from almost 40-year-old vines, grown on pure volcanic porphyr soils on a cool north-facing slope. Fermented with 35% whole bunches for added structure and tension. Gentle vinification focused on remontage, minimal pigéage – all about preserving finesse and purity of fruit. Aged for 11 months in used French barriques. Bright and vibrant on the palate with juicy sour cherry, subtle herbal lift, and fine, earthy grip. There’s a quiet depth here – fresh acidity, precise tannins, and a salty backbone carried by the volcanic soils. A lean, elegant, and honest Pinot from one of the driest and coolest corners of Rheinhessen.
