Over the years, Marcel and Marie Richaud moved away from conventional agriculture and gradually moved towards organic farming. From the 1990s, thanks to the advice of Beaujolais winegrower friends and a meeting with Yann Rohel, Marcel began to vinify his wines "naturally" without any inputs, except for sulfur depending on the difficulties of the vintage. The entire vineyard was certified by the ECOCERT Label in 2008. In 2014, Claire and Thomas, his two children, took over. Together, they worked on replanting the slopes of the appellation to produce beautiful "Cairanne" white and red wines.
The estate now covers 80 hectares between Cairanne and Rasteau. All the terroirs and grape varieties of the appellation are represented. The vineyard is cultivated organically to bring life to the soil and to the grapes as much concentration and richness as possible. Vinification is carried out without additives (no sulfur, no fining, no filtration) and aging is carried out in foudres and demi-muids, in the pure tradition of Rhône Valley wines.
