Nikalas Marani is situated in the village of Kardenakhi, Gurjaani Region, Kakheti. Initially, Marani was built by Nikala Mgvdliashvili back in 1928. Almost century tradition of wine making still is being kept up by his successors, making natural Qvevri wines from various kinds of grapes (Rkatsiteli, Saperavi, Mtsvane Kisi and Khikhvi). These grapes are harvested in our organic vineyards. Vineyards are cultivated in the village of Kardenakhi, Tsarapi, Akhoebi, Zeda Akhoebi and Motskobili. Our goal is to interfere as little as possible in both the winemaking process and vineyard maintenance.
