Quelle simplicité ! Quelle authenticité ! Le point barre arrive, et en quelques secondes il fait déjà partie de La famille. Mes grands enfants (16, 18,19) rentrent directement dans le plaisir du breuvage. Se désaltérer, faire un voyage express dans ce jura d'enfance, et être comme branché à ces grappes de raisins. Belle découverte!

This is an excellent natural wine. The light colour is deceiving as the wine is very tasty and not light in flavour. Wild brambly fruit, vibrant acidity, earthy notes throughout. Drink cool.

This Chardonnay is electric ⚡️ Everything is in balanced. Perfectly tense and razor sharp. Clean fruit, smokey mineral nose at first, lemon and stoney notes throughout. This reminded me of Ganevat Chardonnay just slightly less ripe. For me the quality is close or equal to Ganevat.

As many others, I was forced to celebrate my birthday in quarantine, so I chose to make myself a nice gift 🎁. We are in an area of ​​France embraced by Burgundy in the west and Lake Leman and Switzerland in the east: the Jura 🇲🇫 the centre is the small town of Pupillin, in the reign of Philippe Bornard, a former mechanic, musician and vigneron. The vineyards were inherited from his father, which never made his own production but only sold his grapes to others producer until 2005, when the friend and reference producer of the area, Pierre Overnoy, will encourage Philippe to produce his own wine . Thus, after working for 30 years in the Pupillin cooperative, the iconic labels with the orange fox came to life . With only 11 hectares on marneo-calcareous-clayey soils and vineyards up to 60 years, Philippe and his son Tony operate in a surgical way extrapolating different wines from each small plot, focusing on monovarietal expressions: Trousseau, Poulsard, Chardonnay, Savagnin and a small part cultivated with Melon à la Queue Rouge. The biodynamic approach (certified since 2012 but in place since the 90s) was a natural continuation of what were the cultivation habits of the area and, together with the vinification and aging in fiberglass and large oak barrels, it allows to express in a profound way the territory. 🍇 Ploussard is an indigenous grape variety dating back to the 15th century which gives life to reds with a very fragile color. In fact, the first thing that strikes me is this brick-red glass with a spectacular liveliness. The nose reminds us that this is an area in which we work with long barrel refinements and a careful use of oxidation: the green part of red geranium and wild thyme quickly gives it way to resins, propolis and licorice sticks. Like the fox on the label, I look for a way to reach this succulent grape that I have in the glass and that with each rotation becomes more intriguing: if I close my eyes, I imagine to walk in those North African souks where the sweet aromas of oriental spices mix with the pungent smell of hand-tanned leather. In the mouth, the tannin is so vivid, you understand that the color was an illusion of having a more mature wine in front of you, it has the freshness of a boy who has no idea of how beautiful he will become in a few years. Once I made my sip, it leaves a very long trace, with a strong flavor of oxide, reminds me almost the scent of copper, resin and dried mandarins. Sometimes it happens that some stubborn fox manages to grab the so long desired grape, and as the label says: "Point Barre - That's All", you can't say anything else on a wine like this 🍷

Surprenant. Beaucoup de fraîcheur en bouche sur des arômes de pinot noir. On pourrait le confondre avec un pinot noir avec de l'évolution. Beaucoup de mache, impression de boisé. Beaucoup de tanin en finale.
