Podere Orto is located in Trevinano, in the extreme Upper Tuscia; where the last strip of Lazio is wedged between Tuscany and Umbria our wines are born. The vineyards, located in an intact environment at an altitude of 600 meters, are exposed to the southwest for the red berried varieties and to the north- northwest for the white berried varieties, they are the result of a rigorous mass selection. Cultivation does not involve the use of synthetic products in a soil (sandy and rich in clay, limestone marl and sandstones, mainly composed of quartz grains) fed through green manure and biodynamic preparations. Weeding is great part of the work in the vineyard is manual. Fermentation takes place without adjuvants in the small cellar of the properties and filtration is not used during the bottling phase. The natural composition of the wines produced is not altered by any treatment.
