Gorgeous slightly fuzzy cab franc from saumur...a delight in the afternoon
It takes about 15 min to open up. We get a bright red wine with a nose of ripe red fruits. Raspberry, cherries and eastern spices. We’ll combine it with duck in a reduced red wine sauce, so the nice acidity of this wine breaks the fatty duck. 2013 seems to be ready to drink now, I wouldn’t keep it any longer.

Vibrantly purple coloured, this is a treat to just look at. And to smell and taste too! Fresh nose with typical cabernet franc identity. I smell some bell pepper, a little nutmeg, green grass, sweet bramble, some strawberries, just a hint of leather. The wine has a very juicy mouthfeel. Subtle tannins give it interesting structure and just the spike it needs in an overall smooth wine.12,5% alcohol, enjoy a little chilled. Beautiful label. Perfect to drink under a flowering cherry tree in sunny spring weather! @Daxivin Amsterdam

Superbe et étonnant Saumur Champigny. Cette cuvée 2016 est assez fermée à l’ouverture, ne pas hésiter à le laisser s’ouvrir au moins 30mn. Belle acidité qui se marie très bien avec des tanins légers et aromatiques. Explosion de fruits rouges et belle longueur en bouche
Solid, balanced yet light wine, pleasant cherry with some leathery and smoky notes.
Magnifique Saumur Champigny qui me réconcilie avec cette appellation longtemps à la mode mais parfois surcotée : ici pas de surcote mais du gouleyant. Bravo !
Stanky when uncorked. Blew away on decant. Charcoal and dark plum. Surprisingly full bodied. Could use some time laying down.
Hanami - from the ever enticing and intriguing Sébastien Bobinet and Emeline Calvez. This wine is insanely juicy with a slightly chewy aspect. Personally I like to let this one breathe before drinking adding a bit more depth and complexity to the flavour.
