Pācina was bought in 1933 and has always been a family business. Our land has 65 hectares, on which was built in the 10th century, a monastery and a farm. We are located in the southern part of the Chianti region, in Castelnuovo Berardenga. Even though the farm covers a large surface, the vineyard represents only 10,5 hectares. In Pācina, we also cultivate olives, lentils, spelt and chickpeas. However, our prior engagement and the core of our farm is to protect our land and its natural diversity. Which is why the remaining surface of the land are free fields, where the forest and the ecosystem find their balance and safeguard, the fundamentals of biodiversity. The ecological sensibility transmitted, inspired the farming system since the very begining. Hence, the idea of bottling our wines with low interventions in the cellar and a complete respect of the ecosystem has always been our priority. Giovanna and Stefano have been the main protagonists of the project since the early 90's. Since a couple of years now, their two children Maria and Carlo, with their respective partners, Roberto and Elisabeth, are carrying on the dream to bottle all the Pacina grapes within a natural approach.
No sparkling wines at the moment.
