In 2003, we inherited and reconstituted an old vineyard which belonged to our grandfather, where, during our childhood, we cultivated the vines and produced wine in a traditional way. Since then, and until 2006, the cultivated land has increased to reach the current 10 hectares. The vineyards, located in Vilanova de Prades, are between 800 and 900 meters above sea level and, due to the slope of the relief, are planted in terraces constructed of black slate slabs. The Serra de Prades, the Serra de la Llena and the Montsant surround them. The semi-arid climate, very dry, characterized by scanty precipitation and low thermal variations, and this particularly during the ripening of the grape, protects from most harmful insects that affect this crop. The production is 100% organic and the harvest is done by hand for only 3000 kilos per hectare.
