Chute Libre from Terrain Vague is a red wine with an unusual story rooted in old Carignan vines from Fitou in the Languedoc region. Its journey began when the original 2022 vintage didn't finish fermenting, leaving a bit of residual sugar. To continue the process, the winemaker added freshly harvested Macabeo grapes from 2023, allowing them to soak for two months. This creative approach also included topping up with lees from another cuvée, giving Chute Libre extra character. The result is a light, lively red with a noticeably zesty acidity and a vibrant, fluid texture. It's a playful yet engaging wine that showcases the imaginative style of Terrain Vague, making it perfect for those who enjoy a bright twist on traditional reds.
Els Bassots is a captivating skin-contact Chenin Blanc from Conca de Barberà. Made biodynamically at around 450 metres of altitude, the grapes benefit from a dry climate moderated by cool sea winds. They are harvested by hand and macerated on their skins for roughly ten days before fermenting with native yeasts in stainless steel. Afterward, the wine rests for about one year in neutral French oak barrels, without filtering or fining, and without added sulphites. This approach gives the wine a light golden hue, creamy texture, and bright citrus hints. Its lively acidity and subtle mineral notes linger on the palate, reflecting both the region’s clay-limestone soils and the winemaker’s gentle touch. Suitable for vegans and vegetarians, Els Bassots offers a distinctive Spanish take on a traditionally French grape, showing that Chenin Blanc can flourish beautifully under the Catalan sun.

Mátyás SaraDora #6 is a friendly and approachable orange wine from Slovakia, crafted as a blend of Pinot Blanc, Riesling, and Welschriesling grapes. First produced in 2013, this wine is named affectionately after Sara and Dora, the granddaughters of the winemaker, whose small handprints beautifully decorate the label. SaraDora #6 combines grapes harvested from organic vineyards near the Drieňová hora nature reserve. It’s a careful blend of two vintages, 2020 and 2021, macerated for 14 days on the skins, aged in oak barrels, and bottled without filtration, showcasing a genuine, natural style. Expect notes of dried apricots, pear, citrus, herbal tones, and a hint of minerality, creating a harmonious and elegant drinking experience. Perfect for grilled fish, lighter meats, or pork dishes served chilled at 10-11°C.
