Honu Boy

This....this wine bar is phenomenal. Don't come in here expecting fancy, think dive bar with stacks of bottles filling every open space. Plenty of classic and natural wines by the glass or bottles all absolutely amazing. Probably one of my favorite wine bars in Spain if not the world

Unassuming and easy to miss, we got here a little before closing in the afternoon so kicked our heels in town until 8pm when it opened again. With a maximum capacity of 18 people, and no outdoor area or flashy frontage, it’s easy to miss, but really worth paying the attention so that you don’t. The owner, who has himself had a hand in production of what is now a difficult wine to get, which a local introduced us to, was welcoming and knowledgable, quickly assessing what would hit the mark for us, based on my first round (my second option was all out) and by round three we were over the moon and in discussion with a local who told us how it really is a place which many overlook. The tapas, accompanying every drink, were lovingly arranged by the ever busy host, with one delicious snack after another. I honestly don’t think there are enough hours in the day to do this place justice; it’s exceptional, intimate and when you step in and start enjoying your drinks, it feels like you’ve become party to a secret. We plan to return tomorrow.
