Special cuvée only released in Japan. Not officially a Riserva because it is not a DOC wine, but in Japanese it says Riserva on the back label. Harvested in 2002, macerated with the skins for a whole year! That's extremely long for such a 'hard' grape as ribolla. But with 16 years of aging the wine is perfectly balanced and very complex. Amazing. I smell dried apricots, peaches, laurel, candied fruit, with deep, dark notes of chestnut honey and, surprisingly, dandelion. Very complex, mature aromas. Big surprise with the first sip: this wine is youthful, very fresh, extremely precise. Could spend the entire night just sniffing this glass, slowly witnessing the wine develop in the glass. Very, very special wine.
