The origin story of this Riesling is exciting: In the first years back in the parental company in Großkarlbach in the Palatinate, Dennis Wolf initially expanded all Rieslings separately. So the young winemaker wanted to find out which among the locations produces the largest wine. Here the well-known Laumersheim cherry garden quickly crystalised out. The remaining containers were combined into the "simple" Riesling, but also only in 2021. The various wines of the cuvée therefore had enough time to mature before they were bottled without filtration and only by the use of gravity. In the nose appears a fully ripe, yellow fruit; a lot of mirabelle and apple. Behind it a tart spice, some vanilla and earthy notes with a slightly oxidative character. Very powerful on the palate, also here again the rich fruit. However, this does not look clumsy at all, but unfolds a great length together with the acidity of the Riesling, fine tannin and aromas reminiscent of black tea. A Gutsriesling with high complexity and immense drinking pleasure.
