They started producing wine on Etna in 2008. In 2011 they restored an old cellar and an ancient Etna palmento, in the Crasà district, below the village of Solicchiata. Today, together with a team of young local boys, they biodynamically cultivate seven hectares of land divided into small plots. The vineyards are located in different Contrade between Linguaglossa (Monte Pomiciaro), Castiglione di Sicilia (Crasà, Piano Filici, Rampante), MonteLaGuardia and Randazzo (Pirao, Nave, Tartaraci, Allegracore) at different altitudes ranging between 650 and 1200 m above sea level. They are old bush vines (60-100 years old) mainly of Nerello Mascalese grapes, small percentages of Nerello Cappuccio, Alicante (Grenache) and native white grapes (Grecanico, Catarratto, Carricante, Minella Bianca, Inzolia). The basaltic, sandy, dark black soil was formed by the crumbling of different types of lava, and is rich in mineral elements. In 2012 Anna and Eric buried the first Georgian amphora (qvevri), given to them by a Georgian producer friend, and today they own a total of nine qvevri, all buried on the estate. The wines are produced with minimal intervention in the cellar, only indigenous yeasts, no additives, no clarification or filtration, with little or no added SO2. The company's philosophy is to produce wines that have their own energy, that respect nature and their provenance. The company does not have organic or biodynamic certification, however, these are the methods used to produce our products.
