Aline decides to change her life and takes her family on a new adventure. She will be a farmer-winemaker. The Domaine des Mathouans was thus born in June 2009, today organic and biodynamic (certified since 2013 AB and Demeter). Back to basics, Aline "pampers" the vines while respecting the nature of the soil: green manures, herbal teas and decoctions. A light scratching of the soil if necessary. Then, work in the cellar respects the grapes: the harvest is manual and the sorting is very selective to keep only healthy grapes. Natural wines are the result of a philosophical choice aimed at rediscovering the natural expression of the terroir. Sensations, intuition and the influence of the moon, instead of technology ... The wines are intended to be pure and, preferably, single-varietal (Macabeu, Muscat, Grenache, Lledoner Pelut, Carignan, etc.) to allow them to draw their typicity from their respective terroirs (Gneiss, Schist, Black Marl, etc.). Aline aims to highlight the geological richness of the Agly Valley and its indigenous grape varieties.
