Gastronomy knows no borders.
For a long time, we’ve misunderstood gastronomy. Some try to set limits, to label every recipe, to ban certain ingredients. But do we really need a birth certificate for every dish?
In truth, it’s simpler and more beautiful than that: everything has always been intertwined. Gastronomy has never been imposed; it’s been passed down through taste, curiosity, and encounters. Welcoming others has always enriched us more than staying within our own borders.
It doesn’t matter who baked the first loaf of bread, simmered the first stew, rolled the first sushi, or kneaded the first pizza. What matters is that these gestures have been shared, passed on, and have nourished us since our beginnings. Gastronomy is not a museum piece. It’s alive, just like the wines we celebrate. It evolves, transforms, and feeds on moments and memories.
When some people worry that gastronomy is becoming too mixed, let’s remember: it has never belonged to anyone. Eating together has always brought people together, wherever we are.
🍷 At Raisin, we believe in a living gastronomy, respectful, open, and deeply human. A gastronomy that connects people and opens new horizons through the incredible pairings that only natural wines can offer.
Let’s eat.
