Vin Metis - Francis Rousset and Claude-Etienne Tardy

Vin Metis is a young winery founded in 2023 in Laconnex, in the canton of Geneva, by Francis Rousset and Claude-Etienne Tardy. Born from a shared desire to rethink viticulture in the face of environmental and climate challenges, the project focuses on cultivating resistant hybrid grape varieties such as Divico, Cabernet Jura, Sauvignac, and Cabertin. These varieties drastically reduce the need for pesticides, thus promoting soil health, biodiversity, and the well-being of those working in the vineyards.

Vin Metis champions a handcrafted and natural approach to winemaking, with the ambition of producing wines without any additives, from vine to glass. The grapes are cultivated using sustainable practices, and the wines are crafted without selected yeasts, added sulfites, or corrective oenological processes. This philosophy aims to reveal the authentic character of the grape and the vintage while minimizing the environmental impact of production.

Through its original vintages and its identity inspired by the idea of mixing – between grape varieties, cultures and life paths – Vin Metis embodies a modern, committed and creative vision of wine, where innovation, respect for nature and the pleasure of tasting come together.
