Chute Libre from Terrain Vague is a red wine with an unusual story rooted in old Carignan vines from Fitou in the Languedoc region. Its journey began when the original 2022 vintage didn't finish fermenting, leaving a bit of residual sugar. To continue the process, the winemaker added freshly harvested Macabeo grapes from 2023, allowing them to soak for two months. This creative approach also included topping up with lees from another cuvée, giving Chute Libre extra character. The result is a light, lively red with a noticeably zesty acidity and a vibrant, fluid texture. It's a playful yet engaging wine that showcases the imaginative style of Terrain Vague, making it perfect for those who enjoy a bright twist on traditional reds.

This Sauvignon Blanc shows a different side of the variety. It comes from older vines rooted in clay soils, which gives the wine both freshness and a steady, grounded texture. Fermentation with a portion of whole berries in a large acacia barrel brings extra detail and a gentle spice, while ageing on coarse lees adds breadth and a more layered mouthfeel. The style is dry, juicy and lively, with notes of citrus, light tropical fruit and a subtle mineral touch. It feels expressive without being too sharp, and opens nicely with a little time in the glass. Because it was bottled without fining or filtration, it keeps a natural, vivid character that suits drinkers looking for Sauvignon Blanc with more texture and personality.
