Syrah - Andalusia
Bottle's price: 17 EUR
Libertango is a bright and expressive white wine that celebrates the freedom of natural winemaking. Grown in the rugged Alt-Empordà region of Catalonia, this field blend of Chenin Blanc, Macabeo, Parellada, and White Grenache offers a lively interplay of citrusy freshness and gentle floral notes. Hand-destemmed grapes see a short maceration, bringing out extra aromatic depth before fermenting in traditional amphora. Six months of aging in oak barrels lend a subtle roundness to its spirited acidity. Created by Vinyes Tortuga, who live among their vines and farm holistically, Libertango captures both a sense of place and an adventurous spirit in every sip.
Caviste
BdN is a rare blanc de noirs from Bodegas Magasé. Syrah vines rooted in the sandy soils beside Doñana are pressed immediately on arrival, leaving the juice almost clear. The must ferments in oak barrels, adding gentle texture and light spice while preserving bright fruit. The result sits between white and rosé: a pale, copper-tinged wine with crisp red-berry notes and a subtle smoky hint from the wood. Only a small release was bottled, letting each glass offer a glimpse of southern Andalusia’s coast and wetlands. Enjoy it chilled on its own or with grilled prawns, sushi, or soft cheeses.
