Vinyes que Atrapen - Toni Osorio & Balbina Garcia
“Vinyes que Atrapen” is a project of two people, Balbina Garcia and Toni Osorio, and a landscape in “Costers de l'Anoia” (Catalonia) We are recovering 4 Ha of abandoned vineyards. We have a commitment to the land, which is to restore its original structure in balance with the vineyard. This is how we understand that the landscape has to be preserved and we are convinced that this is how we will obtain the best fruits to make our wines. Our tools are the brushcutter, the hoe and the scissors.
We do not have a tractor and we only decompact the land to incorporate organic matter in the form of compost, manure and forest microorganisms.
We do not use pesticides or insecticides, only sulfur, copper and herbal infusions.
Our vineyards coexist with the local fauna and flora that are our best allies and our soil is beginning to recover from so many years of erosive agriculture, thanks to regenerative agriculture.
The harvest is manual, in boxes of 15 kg.
In the winery we work with the same philosophy as in the vineyard, our only raw material is the grape, everything we need to make wine comes from the vineyard.
We use local grape varieties and ferment the musts with their own yeasts that come from the skins, with a controlled temperature throughout the fermentation.
After fermentation, the wines rest in different containers and are clarified by gravity with the cold of winter until the day of bottling.
