We work our vineyards mainly by hand, following regenerative and organic farming practices. Our vineyards are certified organic by CCPAE.
We use only treatments permitted in organic farming, mainly sulphur when needed, always trying to keep treatments to a minimum.
Our vineyards are close to the Mediterranean, and many of them grow on sauló, the granitic sandy soil typical of the Maresme area.
We harvest by hand in small boxes, usually together with family and friends. Harvest is hard work, but for us it is also a celebration: a way of sharing and celebrating the work of the whole year.
In the cellar, we work with care and respect for the grapes, allowing the wine to develop naturally.
All our fermentations are 100% spontaneous, using only the native yeasts present on the grapes. Depending on the grapes and the vintage, we work with direct pressing, skin macerations, whole bunches and carbonic fermentation.
We use stainless steel, amphorae and oak barrels for fermentation and ageing, depending on the wine.
We do not add commercial yeasts, sugars, enzymes, acids or aromas. We do not filter or fine our wines, and we do not add sulphites.
For us, natural winemaking is about accompanying the grapes carefully throughout the process and giving the wine the time and space it needs to express the vineyard and the vintage.
Our wines are not made from fixed recipes. We work with what each harvest and each vineyard gives us. Some wines, such as Rial, can therefore change their blend from one vintage to another, while keeping the same approach and ageing philosophy.
For us, Talcomraja is a way of caring for and expressing what we feel for the land through wine.
We believe in small, simple and humble things. We want to support a way of working that respects the land, the landscape around us and the people who work it.
We also believe that natural wine can help reconnect people with the land, with local production and with the authenticity of things.
No rose wines at the moment.
