El Jardí dels Sentits - Blanca Ozcáriz Raventós

The story of “El Jardí dels Sentits” (“The Garden of the Senses”) is a wine estate planted by our great-great-grandparents, the Raventós family, from whom our mother, the artist Mª Assumpció Raventós, inherited 10 hectares. Later, our father, Javier, a ship's captain, left the oceans but remained captivated by the vineyards in the heart of the Penedès region, driven by his dream of perpetuating the tradition of making fine wine. I studied oenology in Dijon, and my work as a winemaker in the family vineyard since 1998 has allowed me to appreciate the potential of these small plots, always cultivated with passion and a deep ecological awareness.

The wine will speak to you through your senses, revealing the efforts hidden within our vines. Our Misteriós wines are single-vineyard wines with tiny productions of 2,000 bottles to interpret how each grape variety is expressed in that plot (plots of 0.5 to 1 hectare). Our sparkling wines are blends of the most original varieties, imbued with the freshness that the Mediterranean air brings us every summer evening. Only the natural cold of winter clarifies and stabilizes our wines, so they may exhibit slight sediment or even natural crystallized salt. "This project seeks to understand how wine expresses itself through our senses." Our organic wines come from eco-responsible vineyards where we practice biodynamic and regenerative agriculture. Made naturally with minimal or no intervention, certified by the analysis of all wines, which shows sulfites or total SO2 <28mg/l
