This mountain has a lot of influence in our microclimate, as well as the Atlantic Ocean from which we are around 15 km in a straight line. The dominant winds came from the north usually, and bring the clouds and the rain, the mountain act as a barrier and create the conditions to fresh mornings and long maturation for the grapes. The farm has about 20 hectares of vineyards, all surrounding the set of farmhouses and adega. Our soils are clay-limestone, in certain points with sandy/sandstone areas, with variable sun expositions. The viticulture we develop aims to regenerate the soil and recreate a balanced, biodiverse ecosystem. To do this, we apply organic material and help with the sowing of co-adjuvant cultures, such as leguminous plants that have a symbiotic relationship that benefits the vines, which are organic certified. We prune and harvest manually, with the help of our family and friends. The vinification is simple, without adding nothing but low doses of sulphur, taking advantage of what nature brings us each year. The most important are the grapes. During harvest the main one for us is tasting and choice of grapes in the vineyard, essentially, we look for balance and correct ripening, using only Portuguese varieties for our wines.
