I am convinced of the value of my land and believe in the importance of balanced and respectful viticulture. The production area is in the northwest of Chianti Classico, in the municipality of San Casciano in Val di Pesa. I manage two vineyards: one is 6 hectares at 500 meters above sea level, characterized by galestro soils that offer excellent drainage. The second vineyard, 12 hectares at 150 meters above sea level, consists of clay, sand, and river stone. The Montesecondo vineyards have been certified organic since 2004 and use biodynamic practices.
All fermentations are conducted with indigenous yeasts, and the harvest is done by hand. The only additions to the must or wine are sulfites, which are added before bottling when necessary and in very limited quantities.
