Pian del Pino Farm – Giovanni Batacchi

We are the third generation and have been producing natural wines for over twenty years.
Over time, we have gained extensive experience in spontaneous fermentations, refining an approach that allows us to produce artisanal organic wines that express their terroir and maintain balance, integrity, and elegance over time.

We are located in Tuscany, in the so-called Pianalti del Valdarno, between Arezzo and Florence. Pian del Pino extends over approximately 15 hectares, 4 of which are vineyards. We farm according to certified organic practices and have developed natural agronomic practices aimed at minimizing external inputs—including copper and sulfur—with the goal of producing healthy, vibrant grapes, suitable for spontaneous fermentation without forcing.

We work primarily with local varieties—Colorino del Valdarno, Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Malvasia, and Trebbiano—alongside other varieties that historical developments have brought to the area and have developed a strong identity here, such as Tempranillo.

We produce various labels: whites, rosés, reds, still and sparkling wines, wines different in style and interpretation, but united by a constant search for balance, natural elegance and expressive coherence.

Pian del Pino wines are limited productions, tied to the vintages and individual parcels.

Here, wine is not constructed: it is accompanied.
And it is in the slow pace of agricultural work and the attention to detail in the cellar that a personal and authentic interpretation of the Valdarno takes shape.
