Biologica Stellino - Tommaso & Pietro Stellino
The Biologica Stellino project was born in 2016 with the production of the first bottles of wine, resuming an activity that came for decades and that was suspended in 2001. Young, dynamic company, respectful of peasant traditions, which wants to transmit its passion for wine; that we have been conducting since 2003 with my brother Pietro, with the help of our father Diego, who guides us and suggests in the most difficult moments, that despite a degree in Agricultural Sciences, I note that historical experience was of fundamental importance.
The company covers more than 23 hectares, founded in the early 1900s by my father's grandfather, the main cultivation has always been the wine vine; autochthonous are the chosen varieties, which were the vines grown in the past, the catarratto is the variety that is grown on a greater surface, and precisely the 3 phenotypes are cultivated: glossy catarratto, extra-glossy and the common white catarratto; l'inzolia and nero d’avola, introduced in the company in the 90s.
Other tree crops are the olive oil, Cerasuola variety and the almond tree
