Once I graduated, I really hoped to be able to harvest grapes around the world but between covid and some problems with documents, visas etc. I never managed to leave.
In 2020 I started working at Olek Bondonio in Barbaresco. Olek taught me a lot, and in 2022, after yet another failed attempt to leave, he gave me the opportunity to make wine for him.
So this project started to take shape, I looked for contacts for the grapes and I got an idea of the type of wine I wanted to make.
After years spent working between Langhe and Roero, I feel I have some familiarity with the native vines, but then I decide I want to try making a Grignolino (a grape that I had never vinified) because I am a big fan and I think it has been too underestimated in recent years.
I also choose Nebbiolo, a grape variety I have always worked with and which I appreciate very much.
