Teran 2016 di Emil Tavčar è un vino rosso del Kras, il Carso sloveno, prodotto a Dutovlje da uve Terrano provenienti da vigne di circa quarant’anni. La fermentazione è spontanea con lieviti indigeni e il vino matura per 36 mesi in piccoli contenitori di legno, seguiti da un lungo affinamento in bottiglia. Il profilo aromatico richiama mora e frutti di bosco, fogliame, china, erbe e sfumature terrose. Al palato è secco, teso e strutturato, con una freschezza decisa, tannino energico e la marcata impronta minerale tipica dei terreni carsici. L’evoluzione dell’annata 2016 aggiunge complessità senza cancellarne il carattere austero e verticale. È un rosso gastronomico da abbinare a brasati, arrosti, selvaggina, carne alla griglia e formaggi stagionati.
