Making wine for us is a pretext, to tell about the places we love, to share a passion: that boundless love for nature in all its declinations. Air and earth, sky and soil. And in the middle of us, organic substance, life.
We are Simone Marzocchi and Simone Zoli, wine professionals and tasters since the 90s.
We define ourselves as accidental grape pickers: we try to make up for our academic and practical inexperience with study and the good advice of our many winemaking friends.
Without them, Monte Mirabello (2.5 hectares of vineyards) would not produce grapes.
Soils, climates, altitudes, winds...they change from meter to meter.
But there is one thing that unites this piece of Romagna winemaking history: the importance of the Sangiovese grape variety in the socio-cultural life of every home, village, town.
Here more than any other place, the custom of agricultural gestures, the memory of the land, are elements embodied in sociality and everyday life.
Up here, at almost 600 meters above sea level, you can breathe the mountain air, looking at all the most significant peaks of the Tuscan-Romagnolo Apennines.
