Our vineyard is situated on the right slope of the Rioni River, facing southeast and south. The soil is predominantly clay, and the vineyard is surrounded by mountains at an altitude of 540 meters above sea level. Covering an area of 0.5 hectares, the vineyard consists of 2,100 vines. Of these, 500 vines (Mtsvane, Tsolikouri, and Shavi Kabistoni) were planted between 1970 and 1973, while 1,600 vines (Tsulukidzes Tetra, Aleksandrouli, Mujuretuli, and Rtskhili) were planted in the spring of 2018.
Currently, we produce around 2,000 bottles per year, with plans to increase production to 5,000 bottles in the coming years. We focus exclusively on dry wines, producing both reds and amber wines, with a particular emphasis on rare grape varieties.
Our vineyard management is based on sustainable practices: we use only copper and beneficial fungal bacteria for spraying, avoid plowing the soil, and allow cut grass to decompose naturally within the vineyard. All vineyard work is done entirely by hand. Harvesting takes place from mid-September to the end of October.
Fermentation begins on the grape skins before separation from the juice, depending on the grape variety. Our wines are fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks. We minimize the use of sulfites, and in many cases, we do not use them at all.
Currently, our wines are available in Georgia, France, Denmark, and the USA.
