Domaine Porte Rouge - Justine FÉRAUD
Domaine Porte Rouge covers 4.5 hectares of old vines in AOP Châteauneuf-du-Pape and 1 hectare of Vin de France, cultivated using organic farming methods.
The 4.5 hectares of Châteauneuf-du-Pape are spread over 10 plots with distinct and unique terroirs: rolled pebbles, sands and limestone.
The vines are cultivated with respect for the soil, with minimal intervention. Maintenance is carried out by plowing and hoeing in the spring, then the soils are left to rest for the rest of the year.
The work in the vineyard is entirely done by hand: pruning, bud removal, topping and harvesting.
The winemaking process uses indigenous yeasts, without any additives, following a low-intervention philosophy that respects the vineyard's traditions. Once the sugars have been converted into alcohol, we proceed with racking, pressing, and then barreling for 24 months of aging.
Our wines are racked several times before being bottled, without filtration.
