Spanning approximately 5 hectares, the estate's vineyards flourish on schist and granite terroirs, facing due south on the north bank of the Loire, right between Nantes and Angers.
Committed to sustainability, Jacques immediately converted his vineyard to the Nature et Progrès label. Today, it is certified organic (AB), with no use of pesticides or synthetic fertilizers.
In the cellar, faithful to a non-interventionist oenology, he favours vinifications without inputs, with direct pressings or short macerations for whites, and whole grape fermentations for reds, all vinified in fiberglass tanks.
The grape varieties typical of the region include:
The estate surprises every year with five to six vintages – fresh, light and lively fruit – such as the highly appreciated Le Moulin, Chupitos or Patis des Rosiers.
From one vintage to the next, Jacques can also create new blends and original winemaking techniques, always with one objective: to create digestible and highly drinkable wines.
In 2024, a modernized winery made of bio-sourced wood and chopped straw will be built in Oudon, combining technical performance and respect for the environment, a beautiful culmination of the project.
To compensate for reduced yields due to climatic hazards (frost), Jacques occasionally supplements his production with purchased organic grapes, which are used in "pop-up" cuvées that are quite separate from the estate's range.
